May Worship: Witnesses of the Christ and His Word

May 1: Communion
Feed My Lambs, Be a Shepherd, Feed My Sheep AS JESUS WOULD
John 21:1-19
When we read this statement from Jesus' perspective, it makes all the difference. We are not doing it for the lambs or the sheep, or even to become better shepherds. We do it for Christ.

May 8: Mothers Day and Celebrating the Graduates
Naming Our Experiences and Feelings
John 10:22-30
There are dark days when we are doing difficult jobs of nurturing and growing through education. There are times when we can not see the next step. God is always shining light in, through, and around us.

May 15: Baptism, Casual Sunday
Why Shouldn’t I Eat That? OR 180 Feet in 12 Seconds
Acts 11:1-18; Matthew 15:1-20
In this strange story, Peter learns the difference between traditions that are personal or familial and those that are from God. Check out Matthew 15:11 that reveals Jesus teaching on the mouth.

May 22:
Trade Routes Carry More than Merchandise

Acts 16:9-15
Sometimes the things we think are essential and most important when we travel and exchange goods are extrinsic to the more important learnings that shape us to manifest and realize the Cosmic Christ.

May 29:
We Are Who We Are in the One Christ

Acts 16:16-34; Philippians 4:4-9
No matter where we go, what we are exposed to, or who we are with, the Christ within us remains the same in love, in light, in integrity, and grace.

January 2022 Worship: New Light Streaming!

When we consider the stars, yes even like the one that heralded the new era of Jesus the Christ, we see lights that may no longer be burning in the universe and yet are still illuminating the night. When God brought the big bang 13.8 billion years ago, it was with the Word of God. This ability to make material from the conceptualization of a thought first took form at creation and is still available at our own fingertips. 2000 years ago, God did it again; the Word became flesh. The Son of Humanity, as Jesus called Himself, brought God's enlightened concepts to a deeper consciousness, the Holy Spirit that lives with us still. This new awareness includes the physical but goes beyond it to bring the body to another realm. The body becomes a temple which holds the mind of Christ living with heartfelt compassion and passion in community with the whole cosmos.

Today, as we enter the new year before us, we are again seeing God's concepts delivered in even more loving ways. How is God's enlightenment being shared in novel ways here and now?
